Connect the mind to the body, the movement to the words. Often we disconnect our bodies from our minds leaving a gap between the words coming out of our mouths and the rest of the anatomy. This workshop for actors, speakers, and performers will focus on the relationship between the body and the words we use to create meaning. We will use images and movement exercises to connect deeply and create layers of meaning within and around the words. Please memorize a 30-60 second text in preparation for the class. This can be a poem, part of a story, a short monologue, or other words that you know by heart. We will be doing some movement, so dress comfortably. We will be moving our bodies. No experience necessary.
